Pall Mall has quite a famous and regal logo. It cosists of a large art nouveau letter spelling Pall Mall, a white coat of arms with two regal lions on each side. The shield inside the coat of arms contains a famous expression in Latin "Per Aspera ad Astra" meaning "Through hardships to the the stars". The banner beneath the shield contains another saying in Latin "In hoc signo vinces" meaning "By this sign shall you conquer". Below the coat of arms appears the famous Pall Mall slogan "Wherever particular people congregate". Now it becomes clear why this brand was so appealing to the upper class.
