How to quit smoking...
Quitting smoking is definitely the hardest thing for smokers, it is just like going through a test, which they know they will be never successful at. There have been some studies showing that some people consider getting rid of smoking more difficult than air diving and other extreme sports.
So, can you really quit smoking? Now everyone says that it is difficult but no one says that it is impossible, there are ways you can get rid of it. However, there are things you need to have when trying to quit it.
First, you need to be motivated – for most of the smokers motivation comes from the concern of their relatives, and friends. Sometimes smokers begin to fear that they will die soon, or it may be that the smoker realizes that he is wasting money. There can be a number of reasons. No matter what your motivation is, it has to be strong. Then you need to start quitting slowly, do not give up all of it, at the same time. Start by reducing the amount. While gradually decreasing it, take the amount to zero.
Replace the cigarette with something else, such as a chewing gum; it would better if this something does not contain nicotine. If you have a habit of smoking after food, you can have chewing gum after every meal, it will help change your mind. Get a sponsor, make a person you believe and trust to be there for you all the time, whenever you feel a very strong urge to smoke, talk to that person and try changing your mind.
At the end, reward yourself with the money you save, you can buy books, shoes, clothes or something else as you have dropped cigarettes you can buy something else to tell yourself that you are doing a good job.
