Oregon Seeks to Prohibit Sales of E-cigarettes
This year in August, the Oregon Department of Justice released two documents, with which they would ban the sales and distribution of electronic cigarettes in the state.
This action would prohibit any of the Oregon citizens to buy electronic cigarettes. The American food and Drug Administration believes that electronic cigarettes are extremely dangerous for human consumptions.
The Spokesperson for Oregon attorney general said that, if the companies want to sell electronic cigarettes and related products in Oregon they will have to bring scientific proof of their e-cigs being less harmful and safe. If no one can bring such evidence, the sales would be prohibited.

It was recently brought to light that e-cigs have a number of toxic chemicals aside from nicotine and when nicotine is heated, it goes directly to the lungs of the smoker, which can be extremely dangerous for the smoker.
FDA has already taken some steps against the sales of these cigarettes in American, but they say that e-cigs are still being sold at more than 3 thousand stores in America.
FDA gave severe warnings regarding the damage that an electronic cigarette can cause to health but the sales of these continued. FDA also published their findings about the harmful effects of e-cigs. When FDA revealed what it found, the attorney general of Oregon began to trace the distribution of e-cigs. Therefore, he banned the distribution of e-cigs in Oregon until someone gets a permit from the FDA.
At the same time, many of the e-cig companies and dealers have filled complaints against the FDA that they do not have any right to regulate their products. In these cases, the court ruled in favor of the e-cig companies, but the attorney of Oregon has ruled that the distribution of e-cigs is not allowed in Oregon until a sufficient proof of safety is submitted.
